Project Highlights
As one of New England’s leading environmental consulting firms, Woodlot Alternatives wanted a green building on the smallest possible footprint. They chose a wood frame structure with wooden clapboards. The open-plan interior optimizes natural light and makes efficient use of work space, with room left over for private offices, conference rooms, wet laboratories, a garage and storage.
Everything, from the certified lumber to the high-efficiency windows, is a reflection of the company’s environmental ethos. Other energy-efficient features include super-insulated attic space and insulated slabs with radiant floor heat.
