Mike Ouellet literally grew up in the construction industry, working for his father’s general construction firm every summer from the time he was a teenager. In 1977 he earned an associate’s degree in civil engineering from Wentworth Institute of Technology and was elected president of Tau Alpha Pi, the national honor society for engineering technology.

David’s interest in construction began as a teenager, working for a plumber doing rough-ins and finishes. Fortuitously, he did the plumbing in the home of a family friend: a general superintendent for a commercial contractor, who hired him to do carpentry work on the side. He learned framing, siding, cabinetry and fell in love with construction.
David holds a degree in architectural engineering from the Wentworth Institute of Technology. While at Wentworth he worked for E.W. Burman in Warwick, Rhode Island as an assistant to the project managers, eventually earning that title himself. I...

Bruce comes to the construction industry via an eclectic background. After graduating from the University of Maine at Fort Kent with a degree in mathematics and science, he taught high school math for nine years and was twice selected outstanding teacher of the year. From 1980 to 1992, Bruce owned and operated a retail home improvement center, where he assisted customers with home design and construction. He joined Ouellet Associates in 1994.

Construction runs in the Ouellet family and Dean was destined for this industry from birth. In elementary school he hung around job sites and learned through observation. By high school he was working his way up the ranks of Ouellet Construction. In 1991 he earned a degree in residential construction from Northern Maine Technical College, graduating as class valedictorian.

DENISE OUELLETTE
Denise began her career at Ouellet Associates in 2000 as an accounting assistant and has risen to the position of Financial Manager. Prior to joining Ouellet she worked for 18 years with the Brunswick Housing Authority, 11 spent in the accounting department.
Denise oversees all aspects of the company’s finances. She is responsible for everything from preparing and maintaining owner contracts and change orders to the company’s financial statements. She also maintains our innovative job-costing system, whose cutting efficiencies benefit every project.

At the age of 18 Marcel was working for his father, building houses. By 19, Marcel’s father was working for him. From concrete foundations to steel erection, rough carpentry to finish work, residential to commercial building, Marcel has done it all in his 40-plus years in construction.

Paul brings 26-plus years of construction experience to Ouellet Associates. He began his career at Brown Construction as a carpenter’s helper, rising to carpenter, foreman, superintendent and eventually co-owner and V.P. in charge of field operations, a position he held for five years.
Paul’s expertise ranges from concrete work to pre-engineered structures, but his real love is field supervision. Paul excels at planning and field layout. Another member of the Ouellet family, Don’s first love is masonry. He was a master of the trade even before he graduated from high school. He entered the family business in 1986 and joined Ouellet Associates in 1992. At OAI, Don has risen from mason to masonry superintendent, growing with the company to his current role as project superintendent. His twenty-plus years of experience and love of problem-solving serve him well in the field, where he ensures that every detail of construction meets company standards.
