Marcel Cyr
At the age of 18 Marcel was working for his father, building houses. By 19, Marcel’s father was working for him. From concrete foundations to steel erection, rough carpentry to finish work, residential to commercial building, Marcel has done it all in his 40-plus years in construction.
He spent seventeen years as a project superintendent for Ouellet Construction in Madawaska. During a one-year hiatus, he worked as a resident technical construction engineer for the U.S. General Services Administration’s construction division, receiving a citation for excellence from the GSA regional administrator in Boston.
Since 1992 Marcel has been a project superintendent for Ouellet Associates, responsible for overall construction, employee, and subcontractor management on commercial projects up to $8 million.
He is also a trained inspector through the National Associations of Certified Home Inspectors (NACHI), which mandates 30 hours a year of continuing education in materials technology, design, and systems associated with commercial projects.
Marcel’s vast construction background and ability to handle virtually any aspect of operations in the firm, make him an indispensable member of the Ouellet team.
