David Lawrence

David Lawrence

David’s interest in construction began as a teenager, working for a plumber doing rough-ins and finishes. Fortuitously, he did the plumbing in the home of a family friend: a general superintendent for a commercial contractor, who hired him to do carpentry work on the side. He learned framing, siding, cabinetry and fell in love with construction.

David holds a degree in architectural engineering from the Wentworth Institute of Technology. While at Wentworth he worked for E.W. Burman in Warwick, Rhode Island as an assistant to the project managers, eventually earning that title himself. It was here, learning from the VP of operations and the chief estimator that David honed his skills.

After a brief stint at an engineering firm David joined Ouellet Associates in 2000. He plays a leadership role at the company and there is no hat that he cannot wear. He is as comfortable working one-on-one with architects as he is solving problems in the field. He possesses strong analytical skills and is quick to grasp the intention along with the complexities of any given project, to provide an estimate that reflects the total cost.

David is also one of our more computer-savvy team members and helps streamline all of our office processes through his expertise with software programs, from Timberline to AutoCAD.

A family man, David loves spending time at home, working with his tools and sneaking off to the slopes.
