Project: Lincoln Academy Alumni Dining Hall, Newcastle, Maine

"The MRI suite was designed with a diverse mixture of wall, cabinet and floor finishes, including a fiber optic 'star filled sky' in the ceiling above the MRI. It all came together with surgical precision under OAI’s leadership."

Project Highlights
  • Project Value: $3 million
  • Size: 16,000 square feet
  • Timeline: 2003

Ouellet Associates worked closely with Lincoln Academy to help them budget and prioritize a list of projects to enhance the campus environment. The centerpiece was a new dining hall with the capacity to seat 250. The building creates a central focus that the campus previously lacked. Constructing on a hillside and blasting through ledge added to the complexity of working around campus activity, especially during the foundation stage.

Other items on the project punch list included bringing the main building up to ADA compliance with the addition of an elevator and a new front entrance. In order to streamline traffic, a bus loop and drop-off area was created for the school’s entrance.
